Tommy Lee Jones
We know he's from Texas, which means we're supposed to say nice things about him. But, frankly, it's been 14 years since Lonesome Dove -- and our reserves of Texas good will for Tommy Lee Jones have officially dried up.
So has Jones' knack for picking decent roles. The tide started to turn with U.S. Marshalls, a sequel to The Fugitive that should have been titled Tommy Lee Jones Needs a Texas Sized Paycheck So Let's Come Up With a Stupid Sequel That No One Wants To See. Since then, Jones has been stuck on a permanent loop -- playing the same gruff, tough dude in Double Jeopardy, The Rules of Engagement and Space Cowboys. The Hunted will try to reignite Jones' dying flame by pairing him with Benicio Del Toro. We say: Too little, too late. Might we also point out that Jones' Supporting Actor Oscar for The Fugitive should have gone to Ralph Fiennes for Schindler's List?
